Clayton H. Lietz, well known island builder and developer-now-
retired, wants to build a mausoleum in the Pioneer Cemetery.
The historic cemetery would then have three options: cremation,
vautt burial, or plot burial.
Lietz made a presentation in October to the City Council
with his proposal. He presented letters of cooperation from
Reverend Thomas C. McCulley, Pastor of the New Life
Community church of God, and from Ken Dear, contractor
with 30 years of experience building mausoleum. The
proposed mausoleum will contain 100 units for crypts and
100 units for urns. For more information contact Clayton
