EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Appointment of member(s) to Ilupanic Affairs Advisory Board OBJEOM: To appoint 2 members to serve on the Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board, terms to be until June 25, 2013 and 1 member to serve a term expiring on June 25, 2015. CONSIDERATIONS: The Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board has 2 vacancies due to resignations for terms expiring on June 25, 2013, and l vacancy fora term that expired on June 25, 2011. This 9 member board identifies and evaluates problems unique to the Hispanic Community, reviews and recommends ways to ensure open communication between. the minorities and Collier County.Government and provides periodic reports to the Board of County Commissioners. Terms are 4 years. Currently we have 4 vacancies on this Board. A list of the current membership is included in the backup. Mario Otiz and Alejandro Balan both resigned from terms expiring on June 25, 2013. The term for Renato F. One of the applications was rescinded by the applicant due to work related issues. Due to a lack of quorum, a meeting was not hold on November however the chairman Mr. Gonzalez made the recommendation to invite Mr. Walter Call and Mr. Albert Batista to be part of the Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board.
