Discussion
S. Wiley went over the budget report, existing expenditure commitments, and the remaining
funds available for expenditure. $31,330 remains in the account as of 5/7/18. Scott Wiley
stated that there are two funding requests from Collier County EMS and one from the Marco
Island Fire Department up for review at the meeting. Tony Camps (EMS) and Chief Mike
Murphy (Marco Island) presented their respective RFPs to the group. The EMS request was
for one additional Aeroclave System @ $11,388. The Marco Island request was for Hazmat
items related to chemical detection and protective equipment totaling $20,231.
S Wiley suggested that each requesting agency work with their vendor to reduce the price of
the device or reduce the amount of equipment ordered so that the total for both RFPs come
in under the available budget.
Chief Murphy made a motion to approve both RFPs under the assumption the pricing would
be reduced to come in under budget. The motion was seconded and approved by the entire
group in attendance.
Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 AM.
