OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, rlorl~{;
(Soard) approve and accept the attached Utility Easement from Collier County to the
Collier County Water~Sewer District. The public purpose is to provide necessary
Infrastructure for the construction and maintenance of a telemetry control for an
Irrigation Quality (IQ) Water valve site servicing Veterans Park located off lmmokalee
Road in Naples, Florida.
CONSIDERATIONS: Approval of this Easement will further the process of providing
improved response to breakdowns, and anticipating and improving preventative or
proactive maintenance through enhanced communications and control capabilities. The
project involves the construction and maintenance of IQ infrastructure including
telemetry antenna, electrical panel, meter assembly, and electrical conduit that will
provide best value technology and improved performance and service.
This project is consistent with the 2008 Wastewater Master Plan update adopted by the
Board on June 24th, 2008, under Agenda Item 16G. This project is referenood in
Wastewater Master Plan, Table 8-1, Page 70f 7, Line 151.
The attached Utility Easement has been reviewed and approved by the Public Uti i
Division, the Parks and Recreation Department, and the County Attorney's Office.
A location map of the proposed Utility Easement area is attached for ease of reference.
FISCAL IMPACT: The total cost will not exceed $44 for the recording of the document.
Funds in the amount of $44 are available in the FY 11 budget for this action in Project
70062. The FY 11 Capital budget was approved by the Board on September 24h,
2010. Source of funds is Wastewater User Fees, Fund 414.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is legally sufficient for Board action. This item
requires a majority vote. - J8W
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This project is consistent with, and furthers the
goals, objectives and policies of the Collier County Growth Management Plan.

other ~quipment or improvements appurtenant thereto or thereunder for the purpose of
eonstr~eting, operating, and maintaining irrigation quality water utility facilities thereon.
The easement granted herein shall constitute easements running with the land and
shall bLrden the lands described herein above.

By execution of this instrument, Grantor agrees that any and all pipeline
infrastructure constructed on the property hereinabove referenced, with the exception of
the water meter assembly and any pipelines connecting said assembly with Grantee's
water distribution mains, shall become the property of the Grantor, and all future
maintenance and repair will be the responsibility of Grantor. Following construction.
Grantee's responsibility for maintenance shall .be limited to Grantor's SCADA control
panel. telemetry antenna, and pipeline facilities extending upstream from the 4 inch
gate valve immediately downstream of Grantee's water meter assembly, and shall not
extend to the Grantor's booster pump. control panel, and irrigation distribution pipelines
and facilities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF. the Grantor has caused these presents to be executed
