EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize the Chairman to sign a "Recommendation for
Reappointment" of Dr. Marta U. Coburn as the District 20 Medical Examiner.
OBJECTIVE: To respond to a request from the Medical Examiners Commission for
input relating to the reappointment of Marta U. Coburn, M,D, as the District 20 Medical
Examiner.
CONSIDERA TIONS: The gubernatorial appointment term of the District 20 Medical
Examiner will expire on July 1, 2011. The Medical Examiners Commission has
requested the Board of County Commissioners (Board) to indicate its concurrence or
non-concurrence with the reappointment of Dr. Coburn. A copy of the Medical
Examiners Commission correspondence and the ballot are attached for your reference,
Emergency Management staff fully supports this routine reappointment.

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None,
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the Office of the
County Attorney and is legally sufficient. This item requires a majority vote, A signature
for legal sufficiency is not necessary for this type of item, - JBW
RECOMMENDA TION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes its
Chairman to complete and sign the attached "Recommendation for Reappointment" of
Dr. Marta U. Coburn as the District 20 Medical Examiner,
