EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for projects
within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund (313) in the amount of $102,419.68.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to authorize a budget amendment to
recognize revenue for the Countywide Pathways Program, Traffic Impact Study (TIS) Review,
Planned Unit Development (PUD) Monitoring/Traffic Counts Payment-in-Lieu, PUD
Monitoring/Fair Share Projects and the Vanderbilt Drive Improvements Project within the
Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund (313) in the amount of$102,419.68.
CONSIDERATIONS: Funds have been collected specifically as payment-in-lieu, project
review fees, and Fair Share payments from the application and monitoring process. These funds
are required to be tracked and spent on projects for which the developments were identified for
mitigation or on consultant contracts to perform the studies on the developments behalf under
required monitoring conditions.
These funds were collected in fiscal year 2011 and exceeded the revenue budget. We wish to
recognize these funds and have the funds transferred into the appropriate project accounts as
follows:

FISCAL IMPACT: In fiscal year 2011, money was deposited into the Transportation
Supported Gas Tax Fund. A budget amendment is needed to recognize additional revenue and
appropriate into the correct projects in the amount of $1 02,419.68.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed and approved by the County
Attorney and does not present a legal issue. This item requires simple majority vote. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorize the necessary
budget amendment.
