Agenda 01/11/2011 Item #16E1 Aaenda Item No. 16E1 - January 11. 2011 Page 1 of 3 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to ratify an addition and a modification to the 2011 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made from October 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify an addition and a modification to the 2011 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan. CONSIDERATIONS: The Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the 2011 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retiOactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year - in January, in April and in July. This is the first such occurrence. Attached are the modifications to Contract Specialist and Purchasing Agent into one classification titled Procurement Specialist and an added classification titled Immokalee Business Development Center Manager to the County's 2011 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made between October 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010 (Exhibit 1). The modification reflects modified or new responsibilities. The addition reflects new functions. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County .A.ttorney's Office, requires simple majority vote, and is legally sufficient for Board action. - CMG FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board ratify an addition and a modification to the 2011 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
