EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment, in the amount of $808.50,
recognizing carry forward earned from previous year's interest and current
interest earned in Supervisor of Elections 2009 Federal Election Grant.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain the Board of Commissioner's approval to recognize carry forward
earned from previous years interest and current interest earned in the Supervisor of Elections
20090 Federal Election Grant.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Division of Elections receives federal Help America Vote Act
( "HAVA ") funds for voter education and outreach activities, and then distributes these funds to
the Supervisors of Elections across the State. These funds, and any matching funds provided by
the County, must be placed in separate accounts and accounted for individually. Collier County
is the recipient of HAVA funds and the purpose of this executive summary is to recognize the
carry forward and the interest earned in the Supervisor of Elections 2009 Federal Election Grant.
FISCAL IMPACT: Revenue is being recognized in the amount of $808.50 with $788.50 being
appropriated in carry forward and $20.00 being appropriated in interest in Supervisor of
Elections Grant Fund (081).
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed and approved by the County
Attorney's Office, is legally sufficient for Board action and only requires a majority vote for
approval —SRT.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners authorizes
the Chairman to approve the budget amendment recognizing $808.50 of carry forward earned
from previous years interest and current interest earned in the Supervisor of Elections 2009
Federal Election Grant.
