Recommendation to recognim Sue Trone, Project Manager, Bayshore Gateway Triangle
Community Redevelopment. Agency, as the Employee of the Month for January 2012.
OBJECTIVE: The purpose. of,the Employee of ft Month program is.to recognize the efforts

_ CONSIDERATIONS: Sue. Trove, Project' Manager,, has-been selected as the "Employee of the

Gateway.Tnangle Communtty,Redevelopment Agency.'
As a Project. Manager,. Sue's responsibilities include establishing redevelopment programs,
expanding grant programs, overseeing storm water drainage projects and creating agency
publications. Recently, she had two major projects successfully come ,to a conclusion. Sue
worked diligently on the successful receipt of a $2,700, 000 Housing and.,Urban Development
grant that will be used to improve drainage in the in Bayshore Gateway Redevelopment area.
She gathered support for the project from the homeowners in the affected areas, and
construction is expected to be completed this year. In conjunction with the drainage project,
Sue created the Gateway Triangle Streetscape Guidelines. She single-handedly y -- managed
every facet of the project, held planning meetings with residents and worked tirelessly to get,the
guidelines approved. In addition to her work on these projects, Sue created a T Cal
neighborhood watch program, coordinated a coastal cleanup event at Haldeman Creek and
helped develop a business outreach "program for commercial businesses in the area
Sue serves her local community by leading the charge to improve their neighborhoods. She is
an asset to the County and she is truly deserving of this award,
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected "Employee of the Month" receives a $150.00 cash award.
Funds are- available in the employee's Budget Cost. Center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the recognition of `
Sue Trone as "Employee of the Month" for January 2012.
