Agenda 10/08/2013 Item #16A14 10/8/2013 16.A.14.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve an extension for completion of site development plan improvements
associated with that project known as Bucks Run Multi-Family (AR-7934) pursuant to Section
10.02.03 B.4 of the Collier County Land Development Code.
OBJECTIVE: To approve an extension for the completion of subdivision improvements
associated with Bucks Run Multi-Family Site Development Plan(SDP).
CONSIDERATIONS: On February 10, 2007, the Engineering Services Department issued a
pre-approval letter for this project. Upon payment of 50% of the road impact fees, the final
approval letter would be issued. The Land Development Code requires improvements must be
completed within 36 months unless an extension is formally requested and granted by the
Engineering Services Department.
Since the housing industry has been in a down turn, the developer has failed to request extension
approvals since 2010. Had the extension requests been submitted, then the approval of the
requests would have been perfunctory. Collier County has now received a request for extensions
from February 10, 2010, through February 10, 2014. The developer has paid the appropriate
fees.
FISCAL IMPACT: The County will realize revenues as follows:
Fund: Growth Management Fund 131
Agency: County Manager
Cost Center: 138327 --Land Development Services
Revenue generated by this project: Total: $600.00 Extension Fees
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and
requires a majority vote for Board approval. -ERP
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: The developer will be required to obtain a Certificate
of Adequate Public Facilities and pay the appropriate Impact Fees prior to issuance of the final
approval letter.
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize the Engineering Services Department to approve the
extension for Bucks Run Multi-Family (AR-7934) out to February 10, 2014, so that the
developer may be in compliance with the requirements of the Land Development Code.

Please be advised the above-named project is complete and a COA Certificate has been
issued. As required by LDC Section 10.02.07, within 90 days of this notification, you may pick
up the certificate upon payment of $169,652, which is one-half (50 percent) of the estimated

the Certificate is not picked up within 90 days and the applicable estimated transportation
impact fees paid, the application will be deemed denied and the applicant must reenter the COA
