Agenda 04/24/2018 Item #16E404/24/2018 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve the addition of one (1) classification, the reclassification of three (3) classifications, and the removal of two (2) classifications to the 2018 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan made from January 1, 2018 to March 31, 2018. OBJECTIVE: To ratify the addition, deletions, and modifications within the 2018 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan. CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year; in January, in April and in July. The modification to the County’s 2018 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan (Exhibit 1) consists of the addition of one (1) new classification, the reclassification of three (3) classifications, and the removal of two (2) classifications. FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. - CMG RECOMMENDATION: To approve the addition of one (1) new classification, the reclassification of three (3) classifications, and the removal of two (2) classifications.
