EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve the conveyance of an Easement to Florida Power & Light Co. to
supply power to new Master Pump Station No. 167.00 including a three phase transformer, a
buried power line, and to provide additional power systems as needed on County-owned property
at 15430 Collier Blvd., adjacent to Heritage Bay Commons.
OBJECTIVE: To provide the appropriate amount of power needed at the new Master Pump Station
located on County-owned property (15430 Collier Blvd.) adjacent to Heritage Bay Commons.
CONSIDERATIONS: In order for Florida Power & Light Co. (hereafter “FP&L”) to provide the
necessary power to the new pump station and/or any structures within the pump station, it will be
necessary to execute and record the attached Easement (Business) to FP&L.
The Easement comprises a total of 2,348 square feet, more or less, as shown and described on Exhibit
“A” of the Easement. A location map is attached for reference.
The Easement has been reviewed and approved by PUD/Engineering & Project Management Division
and the County Attorney's Office.
FISCAL IMPACT: Recording costs shall not exceed twenty ($20.00) dollars and will be paid from
Wastewater User Fee Fund (414).
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality, and requires majority
vote for approval. - JAB
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Collier County Growth
Management Plan.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the attached Easement
(Business), authorizes the Chairman to execute the Easement, and directs the County Manager or his
designee to proceed to follow all appropriate closing procedures and to record the Easement in the Public
Records of Collier County, Florida.
