EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and ratify the additions, deletions, and reclassifications to the
2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made from January 1, 2013 through March
31, 2013.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to approve and ratify the reinstatement
of two classification specifications, six reclassifications, and the deletion of three classifications
in the 2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 93 -72, as amended, the Board of County
Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and
deletions to the 2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification
by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year — in January, in April and in July.
The modifications to the County's 2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made between
January 1, 2013 through March 31, 2013 (Exhibit 1) consists of reinstatement of two
classification titles which had previously been removed from the pay plan; the reclassification of
six classification specifications, which allows use across the County and updates the current
functions; and deletion of three classification specifications which are no longer used by the
County.
FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office,
requires majority vote, and is legally sufficient for Board action. — CMG
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approve and ratify the reinstatement of two
classification specifications, six reclassifications, and the deletion of three classifications in the
2013 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
