Each month, The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Collier County
Commissioners recognize an organization that has enhanced the community through financial,
volunteer and active involvement in organizations and programs that assist in creating a better
quality of life for all citizens in Collier County.
The honoree is presented with a commemorative plaque at the Board of County
Commissioners meeting. A photo and news release is distributed to all Southwest Florida
media and Chamber members, as well as featured in Business Currents TM Magazine, the
Chamber's website, and promoted through social media.

As Comcast shapes the future of media and technology, its 1,400 employees in Southwest Florida strive
to earn the respect and trust of its customers, its shareholders and most importantly, members of this
community. It does this by investing in non -profit organizations that offer diversity- oriented programs
focusing on: digital literacy and computer skills; community service and volunteerism initiatives; and
building tomorrow's leaders. For over 30 years, Comcast has been a notable partner in the Junior
Achievement of Southwest Florida's (JA) Business Hall of Fame Awards. Comcast recently awarded JA
with a Gold Medal Grant to enhance the Internet Technology portion of its Entrepreneurship Program.
The program trains high school students about the role broadband technology and access plays in a
successful entrepreneurial initiative. The support helped JA fund digital- focused curriculum and training
utilized in a pilot program by JA volunteer instructors. C om cast also donated $50,000 to support the
Boys and Girls Clubs of Collier County's new Technology Training Center. The center will open on
Nov. 11 and offer the Club Tech program. The program provides courses in Computer Aided Design,
Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM), Vocation - Technical Workshops, Medical Clinics,
and Audio Video Recording. Comcast is also a signature supporter of the organization's Youth of the
Year Awards, and Comcast surprised each Youth of the Year finalist with a new laptop
computer. Comcast also awarded a Gold Medal Grant to Amigos en Cristo, Inc. (Amigos Center) to
enhance the digital literacy /technology skills development program of its Immokalee computer lab. The
lab is a large facility located in the rural neighborhood of families who rely on the social and
immigration services of the Amigos Center. Recently, Champions for Learning recognized Comcast in
its 25th Anniversary Honor Roll. The Honor Roll Recognizes companies like Comcast who have given a
cumulative total of more than $250,000 to enrich the environment for student learning in Collier
County.Finally, Comcast has supported the Southwest Florida Celebration of Reading event to benefit
the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy since its inception by providing over $1 million in air
time for public service announcements each year. As a member of the Greater Naples Chamber of
Commerce. Comcast recently hosted a special event for customers with legendary professional golfer
and World Golf Hall of Fame member Colin Montgomerie to celebrate the grand opening of its new
North Naples XFINITY (R—, store. The store is the first of its kind in Southwest Florida and is designed
entirely around the needs of customers, offering an opportunity to explore and interact directly with the
latest XFINITY, TV, Internet, Voice and Home Security products and services. Comcast will open a
second store further south in Collier County early next month. Additionally, Comcast has invested in
technology to build an advanced network that delivers among the fastest broadband speeds, and brings
residential and business customers personalized video, communications and home manauement
offerings. In Florida, Comcast has invested over $6.8 billion dollars in technology and infrastructure
since 1996.
