DJck Braun, Golden Gate Taxpayers Association President, stated bia objections to this excavation because ot possible negative iapac~s on the roads in Golden Gate. Responding ~o Co..i.sioner P1.tor, Mr. Archibald stated that the aajor roads to be used to haul t~e till will be CR-848 and CR-846. He a.J4 the.. roads are currently ir. a condition to handle that load and if it bec08es a problea, it can be controlled. He noted that the Exc.~tion Ordinance will rely o~ the Road Impact Ordinance to insure ~hat the Japact. are addressed t~ some degree. In answer to Co.al.sloner Saunders, Mr. Archi:ald advised that the fee is computed on lane iapact aile. in accordan:e with Ordinance 85-55. He stated that the County ls receiving aaxlmum benetit allowed under the current OrdiQCU:e. ~ring Co..i.sioner Hasse. Mr. Archibald stated that an Ordiaance could be written requiring the County or the Sheriff'. Dep.~t..nt to operate and aaintaln their own scales, however, the cost of tbe equipaent is approxiaately $50,000 to $60,000 per year.
