Cdl to Order Cheirmen Jemes Spart called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. U. Attendence A quorurn was established. Kellie Cernoll presided over the projector displaying the Agenda packet. III. Approvel of Agenda rim scabasty made a motion to approve the agenda, there was a second ond the motion passed 5-0. January I 6, 20 I E IV. Approvel of Minutes of the November 2l,20l7 Meeting Jim Seabasty made a molion to approve the minutes of the November 21, 2017 meeting, there was a second and the motion passed 5-0. V. Director's Report Drrry Andrede provided an update on the renovation project. The desigrr work has been narrowed down to three (3) firms. Each firm will make a presentation to the selection committee, one (l) company will be selected and the selection will go before the Board of County Commissioners for approval. Ms. Andnde advised the Board that she, Kyn Lynch and Kellie Crrrotl prepared a Disaster Mitigation Grant rcquest to upgrade the generator for Domestic Animal Services. Ms. Andrrde will meet with Steve Crmell and Facilities Management. AMEC Foster Wheeler investigated the electrical and desigrr deficiencies to help determine if the buildings should be rebuilt, upgraded or replac€d. All kennels will receive temporary air conditioning this summer. Ms. Andrede advised that she will provide additional infonnation at the next DASAB meeting in March. Dercy Andrrde advised the Board that the annual holiday donation letter resulted in over $6000 in donations, which is up from the previous year. Ms. Andnde stated the DAS has instituted new hours of operation that will increase adoptions hours by one hour per day. Ms. Andrade also advised that the Animal Services Advisory Board vaqrncy was approved and is now officially vacant. Kyn Lynch informed the Board that there are curently two (2) pigs and one (l) sheep available for adoption. Kellie Cerroll thanked Bridgct Bennon for taking the photogrryh that was used for the holiday donation letter. VI. New Business Dercy Andndc advised the Board that Dr. Michrel Gordon has applied for the open Veterinarian/Vet Tech position on the Board. Dr. Gordon provided a brief biography. lanes Scabasg made a motion to recommend to the BCC that Dn Gordon be oppointed to the vacant position on the Board, there was a second and the motion passed 5-0. VII. Public Comment There were no public comments. WII. Advisory Boerd Member Comments January I 6, 20 | 8 Petrice Worcoster asked if there were any updates on the Immokalee shelter and was advised by Ms. Andnde that there werE none. Jim Rich, Jim SperE end Jim Scrbrsty each welcomed Dr. Gordon. tamcs Scabosty made a motion to adjour4 there was a second and the motion passed 5-0. The next rcgularty schcduled Advisory Borrd Meeting will be on Tuesdey, March 20th, et 6:fi) in the Ilomestic Animel Training Room, Devis Blvd., Neplcs, Florida.
