EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This item requires that ex parte disclosure be provided by Commission members. Should a hearing
be held on this item, all participants are required to be sworn in. Recommendation to approve for
recording the minor final plat of Slater Estate, Application Number PL20140001315, and agree to
release the County's interest in a conservation easement over a 15-foot wide strip of land in Tract
D, Plat Book 33, Pages 78-80 which will be replatted as the eastern 15 feet of this proposed Slater
Estate Plat.
OBJECTIVE: To approve for recording the final plat of Slater Estate, a subdivision of lands
located in Section 10, Township 50 South,Range 26 East, Collier County, Florida.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Engineering Services Department has completed the review of the
minor final plat of Slater Estate, and these documents are in compliance with the County Land
Development Code and Chapter 177, Florida Statutes. Under LDC Section 10.02.04 D, a minor
final plat approval may be requested as an alternative to the standard construction plans and plat
approval where the plat does not required improvements, a construction and maintenance
agreement, a security performance bond, or phasing. There are no required subdivision
improvements associated with this plat. All fees have been paid.
This minor replat involves replatting a 15-foot wide portion of a conservation easement over
Tract D, Plat Book 33, Pages 78-80, which was dedicated to the County in the original plat.
Therefore, in accordance with Section 704.06, Florida Statutes, the County must agree to release
this 15-foot wide portion of the conservation easement in order to approve this plat.
Environmental staff has agreed to the reduction of the conservation easement caused by this
replat because there is an excess of conservation area in this development.
The Engineering Services Department recommends that the minor final plat of Slater Estate be
approved for recording.
FISCAL IMPACT: The County will realize revenues as follows:
Fund: Growth Management Fund 131
Agency: County Manager
Cost Center: 138327 -Land Development Services
Revenue generated by this project: Total: $1.020.00
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and
requires a majority vote for Board approval. - SAS
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: The developer must receive a Certificate of Adequate
Public Facilities prior to the issuance of the final approval letter and plat recordation.
RECOMMENDATION: Recommendation to approve the minor final plat of Slater Estate,
Application Number PL20140001315 for recording.
