EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve additions, deletions, and reclassifications to the 2014 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made from January 1, 2014 through March 31, 2014. OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify one reclassification and the reinstatement of a classification specification to the 2014 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan. CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the 2014 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year — in January, in April and in July. The modifications to the County's 2014 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made between January 1, 2014 and March 31, 2014 (Exhibit 1) consist of the reclassification of one classification specification and the reinstatement of an obsolete classification due to business needs in the Public Services Division. FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. — CMG RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approves and ratifies the reclassification of a classification specification and the reinstatement of a classification specification in the 2014 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
