EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve final acceptance of the private roadway and drainage improvements
for the final plat of Sandalwood (Application Number AR-8661) with the roadway and drainage
improvements being privately maintained and to authorize the Board of County Commissioners to
accept the plat dedications and to release the maintenance security in the amount of$164,188.62,in
the form of a Letter of Credit.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) accept final approval of the
infrastructure improvements associated within the subdivision,accept the plat dedications, and to
release the maintenance security in the amount of$164,188.62.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) On April 27, 2011, the Engineering Services Department granted preliminary acceptance of
the roadway and drainage improvements in Sandalwood.
2) The roadway and drainage improvements will be maintained by the project's
homeowners association.
3) The required improvements have been constructed in accordance with the
Land Development Code. The Engineering Services Department has inspected the
improvements and is recommending final acceptance of the improvements.
4) A resolution for final acceptance has been prepared and approved by the County Attorney's
Office. The resolution is a requirement of Section 10.02.05 C.1 of the Land Development
Code. A copy of the document is attached.
5) The Sandalw000d PUD, which encompasses the subject plat, has been found to be in
substantial compliance.
FISCAL IMPACT: The roadway and drainage improvements will be maintained by the project's
homeowners association. The existing security in the amount of$164,188.62 will be released
upon Board approval. The original security in the amount of$423,847.84 has been reduced to
the current amount based on the previous work performed and completed and pursuant to the
terms of the Construction and Maintenance Agreement dated November 24,2010.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires
a majority vote for approval. -SAS
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: To have the BCC accept final acceptance of the infrastructure
improvements associated within the subdivision known as Sandalwood Application Number
(AR-8661), and authorize the Chairman to execute the attached resolution authorizing final
acceptance of the improvements, acceptance of the plat dedications, and release of the
maintenance security in the amount of$164,188.62.

ACCEPTANCE OF CERTAIN ROADWAY AND MANAGE
IMPROVEMENTS IN SANDALWOOD,ACCORDING TO THE PLAT
THEREOF RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK.5 ,PAGES 55 THROUGH 581
RELEASE OF THE MAINTENANCE SECURITY; ACCEPTANCE OF
THE PLAT DEDICATIONS; RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE
OF THE ROADWAY AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS WILL BE
WITH THE SECOYA RESERVE HOMEOWNERS' ASSOCIATION,
INC,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier Courn7, Florida, on
November 13,2007, approved the plat of Sandalwood for recording;and
WHEREAS, the Developer has constradeci and maintained the roadway and drainage
improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications as required by the Land
Development Code(Collier County Ordinance No. 04-41,as amended);and
WHEREAS, the. Developer is requesting final acceptance of the roadway and drainage
improvements and release of his maintenance security;and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Services Department has inspected the roadway and
drainage improvements and is recommending acceptance of said facilities
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that final acceptance is hereby
granted for those roadway and drainage improvements in Sandalwood, pursuant to the plat
thereof recorded in Plat Book 50. pages 55 through 58, and the Clerk is hereby authorized to
release the maintenance security.
BE IT FARTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the roadway and drainage
improvements. within Sandalwood will be maintained privately in the future and will not be the
responsibility of Collier County.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote favoring same, this

All drafts must reference the number and issue date of this credit. You may draw hereunder on or
prior to the expiration date, up t:o the full amount available hereunder, against your sight draft(s)
on us, bearing the number of this Letter of Credit.
This Letter of Credit sets forth in full the terms of the Issuer's undertaking and such undertaking
shall not in any way be modified, amended, or amplified by reference to any document,
instrument, or agreement:referenced to herein or in which this Letter of Credit relates,and any
such reference shall not be deemed to incorporate herein by reference any document, instrument

Documentary Credits and Florida law should arise, Florida law shall prevail. If a conflict between
the law of another state or country and Florida law should arise. Florida law shall prevail. This
Letter of Credit: shall be deemed made under the laws of the State of Florida, and as to matters not
governed by the international Standby Practices 1998, shall be governed and construed in
accordance with such law.
