Agenda 12/08/2015 Item #16H112/8/2015 16. H .1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to reappoint two members to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to four - year terms expiring on December 31, 2019. CONSIDERATIONS: This 7 member committee was created by Guidelines established on November 25, 1975 and confirmed by Ordinance No. 93 -81 to advise the Board of County Commissioners on any matters concerning acquisition, development and programs involving parks and recreation facilities in Collier County. Membership consists of 1 member from the Immokalee Community Park District, and 6 members from the Naples and Urban Area Community Park District. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup. Two seats on this committee will expire on December 31, 2015. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That Mr. Fuchs and Ms. Gibson - Laemel be reappointed to their respective seats on this committee, to new four -year terms expiring on December 31, 2019. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the reappointments. The vacancies were advertised and persons interested in serving on this committee were Martin Klingenberg, John Fuchs and Rebecca Gibson - Laemel. The seven member board was created on November 25, 1975 and advises the Board of County Commissioners on matters pertaining to the acquisition, development and programs involving the County's park facilities and provides guidance and community input for the Parks & Recreation Department. Representation on this board consists of one member from the Immokalee Community Park District and six members from the Naples and Urban Area Community Park District.
