Each month, The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Collier County
Commissioners recognize an organization that has enhanced the community through financial,
volunteer and active involvement in organizations and programs that assist in creating a better
quality of life for all citizens in Collier County.
The honoree is presented with a commemorative plaque at the Board of County
Commissioners meeting. A photo and news release is distributed to all Southwest Florida
media and Chamber members, as well as featured in Business CurrentsTM Magazine, the
Chamber's website, and promoted through social media.

environment where children and their families play, learn and dream together. C'mon provides
community outreach, on-going special events, traveling and rotating exhibits (in addition to 17
permanent exhibits), field trips and more.

How has the organization enhanced the community through financial, volunteer and active
involvement in organizations and programs? (500 words or less):
We bring children and families together in a creative environment--since opening in February 2012,
more than 500,000 people have visited the museum from around the world. We strengthen the local
economy and provide jobs--our facility, built by a local builder, represents a $25 million capital
investment in Collier County. The Museum injects more than $2 million annually into the local

economy through wages and purchases of supplies and services. C'mon provides 42 jobs for a wide-
range of skills. We promote tourism--C'mon has drawn visitors from 49 states, 51 Florida counties and
27 countries since opening, resulting in related spending at local restaurants and stores. During the
winter months almost 60 percent of our visitors come from outside Collier County. We model
sustainablility--C'mon is the only Gold LEED certified children's museum within the Association of
Children's Museums. We are completely accessible--all museum facilities, exhibits and programming
are accessible to visitors regardless of physical, auditory,visual, social-emotional, cognitive or financial
ability. We engage the community--by using the services of over 179 volunteer giving over 11,700
hours annually. We partner with other local agencies--C'mon has active partnerships with: Youth
Haven, Humane Society Naples,NCEF, Whole Foods, Immokalee Child Care Center, Cub Scouts,
Conservancy of Southwest Florida,Naples Botanical Gardens, Kindermusik, Golisano Children's
Hospital of Southwest Florida,Naples Equestrian Challenge, Collier County Sheriffs Office, Florida
Park Service, St. Matthew's House, Inc.The Immokalee FoundationThe Shelter for Abused Women &
