EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint a member to the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint one member to the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee to a
four-year term expiring on October 13, 2019.
CONSIDERATIONS: This 5 member committee was created by Ord. No. 87-48, amended by
Ord. No. 87-98 and 94-40 to carry out the requirements, conditions and various provisions of an
Agreement relating to the use of land, or funds derived from the sale of land, conveyed to the
County by Avatar Properties, Inc. (f/d/a GAC Properties, Inc.) Applicants must reside within 1
of the 5 phases within the subdivision known as "Golden Gate Estates." Terms are 4 years. A
list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Member Pat Humphries' term expires on October 13, 2015. The pending vacancy was
advertised and the following application was received:

ATTENDANCE: During Ms. Humphries current term on the committee, she has had perfect
attendance.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At their meeting in August 2015, the committee
voted unanimously to recommend that Ms. Humphries be reappointed to another four-year tern,
which shall expire on October 13, 2019. A recommendation memo is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation. and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the
reappointment.
