NOTICE OF INTENT TO USE UNIFORM METHOD OF COLLECTING
NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS
Collier County,Florida(the"County")hereby provides notice,pursuant to section 197.3632(3)(a),Florida Statutes,
of its intent to use the uniform method of collecting non-ad valorem special assessments to be levied within the County for the
cost of providing stormwater services,facilities and programs within the unincorporated area of the County commencing for
the Fiscal Year beginning on October 1,2018.The County will consider the adoption of a resolution electing to use the
uniform method of collecting such assessments authorized by section 197.3632,Florida Statutes,at a public hearing to be held
at 9 a.m.on February 13,2018 in Board of County Commissioners Chambers,Third Floor,Collier County Government
Center,3299 Tamiami Trail E,Naples,Florida 34112.Such resolution will state the need for the levy and will contain a legal
description of the boundaries of the real property subject to the levy.Preliminary estimated range for an Equivalent
Residential Unit(ERU)will be up to a maximum of$130 per year.Copies of the proposed form of resolution,which contains
the description of the real property subject to the levy,may be obtained from the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners
at the Board Minutes and Records Department.All interested persons are invited to attend.
In the event any person decides to appeal any decision by the County with respect to any matter relating to the
consideration of the resolution at the above-referenced public hearing,a record of the proceeding may be needed and in such
an event,such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the public hearing is made,which record includes the
testimony and evidence on which the appeal is to be based.In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act,persons

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA
ELECTING TO USE THE UNIFORM METHOD OF
COLLECTING NON-AD VALOREM SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED WITHIN THE INCORPORATED
AREA OF COLLIER COUNTY; STATING A NEED FOR
SUCH LEVY; PROVIDING FOR THE MAILING OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Collier County, Florida (the "County") is contemplating the
imposition of special assessments for the provision of stormwater services, facilities and
programs within the unincorporated area of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County intends to use the uniform method for collecting non-ad
valorem special assessments for the cost of providing stormwater services, facilities and
programs to property within the unincorporated area of the County as authorized by
section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, as amended, because this method will allow such
special assessments to be collected annually commencing in November 2018, in the
same manner as provided for ad valorem taxes; and
WHEREAS, that both the Tax Collector and Property Appraiser have agreed to
extend the deadline for a public hearing adopting this Resolution to March 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the County held a duly advertised public hearing prior to the adoption
of this Resolution, proof of publication of such hearing being attached hereto as Exhibit
A.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT:
1. Commencing with the Fiscal Year beginning on October 1, 2018 and
continuing until discontinued by the County, and with the tax statement mailed for such
Fiscal Year, the County intends to use the uniform method of collecting non-ad valorem
assessments authorized in section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, as amended, for collecting
non-ad valorem assessments for the cost of providing stormwater services, facilities and
programs. Such non-ad valorem assessments for stormwater shall be levied within the
unincorporated area of the County. A legal description of the unincorporated area of the
County is attached hereto as Exhibit B and incorporated herein by reference.
2. The County hereby determines that the levy of the assessments is needed
to fund the cost of stormwater services, facilities and programs to property within the
entire unincorporated area of the County.

3. Preliminary estimated range for an Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) will
be up to a maximum of$130 per year.
4. Upon adoption, the Clerk is hereby directed to send a copy of this
Resolution by United States mail to the Florida Department of Revenue, the Collier
County Tax Collector, and the Collier County Property Appraiser by March 10, 2018.
5. This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA
ELECTING TO USE THE UNIFORM METHOD OF
COLLECTING NON-AD VALOREM SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED WITHIN THE
UNINCORPORATED AREA OF COLLIER COUNTY;
STATING A NEED FOR SUCH LEVY; PROVIDING FOR
THE MAILING OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Collier County, Florida (the "County") is contemplating the
imposition of special assessments for the provision of stormwater services, facilities and
programs within the unincorporated area of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County intends to use the uniform method for collecting non-ad
valorem special assessments for the cost of providing stormwater services, facilities and
programs to property within the unincorporated area of the County as authorized by
section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, as amended, because this method will allow such
special assessments to be collected annually commencing in November 2018, in the
same manner as provided for ad valorem taxes; and
WHEREAS, that both the Tax Collector and Property Appraiser have agreed to the
provision of Notice and adoption of the Resolution prior to March 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the County held a duly advertised public hearing prior to the adoption
of this Resolution, proof of publication of such hearing being attached hereto as Exhibit
A.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
1. Commencing with the Fiscal Year beginning on October 1, 2018 and
continuing until discontinued by the County, and with the tax statement mailed for such
Fiscal Year, the County intends to use the uniform method of collecting non-ad valorem
assessments authorized in section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, as amended, for collecting
non-ad valorem assessments for the cost of providing stormwater services, facilities and
programs. Such non-ad valorem assessments for stormwater shall be levied within the
unincorporated area of the County. A legal description of the unincorporated area of the
County is attached hereto as Exhibit B and incorporated herein by reference.
2. The County hereby determines that the levy of the assessments is needed
to fund the cost of stormwater services, facilities and programs to property within the
entire unincorporated area of the County.
3. Preliminary estimated range for an Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) will
be up to a maximum of $130 per year.

4. Upon adoption, the Clerk is hereby directed to send a copy of this
Resolution by United States mail to the Florida Department of Revenue, the Collier
County Tax Collector, and the Collier County Property Appraiser by March 10, 2018.
5. This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption.

hi my name is jack hail and i have a severe flooding problem every time
it rains
really hard believe it or not i live on a canal
matter of fact my street has water on three sides i can't believe it can
flood and i mean really bad
they redid my street a few years ago but they didn't do a very good job
on the storm water drain
they made the pipe that runs to the canal higher than the drain so the
water can't get out
i guess my property is the lowest on the street so all the rain water uses
my driveway like a river because they did such a bad job on the storm
water drain and
if the tide is up the water has no where else to go except my driveway
i have seen it more than one feet deep in my driveway and running like
a rapid so bad at times I've had to call 911

believe how deep the water was

they came and survey the drainage ditch and they are the ones who
told me the pitch on the pipe is going the wrong way
