the meeting of July 7, 2015, regarding the above referenced subject.

PROCEDURE TO PETITION THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Public Petitions are limited to a single speaker, with a maximum time of ten
minutes. Generally the Board will not take action on public petition items on
the day the petition is presented, but may direct staff to take action, or bring
back the item to the Board at a future date for consideration. If the subject
matter is currently under litigation or is an on -going Code Enforcement case,
the Board will hear the item but will not discuss the item after it has been
presented.
The County Manager may defer scheduling a public petition for a reasonable
period of time to allow sufficient time for staff to review the content and thus
prepare for questions from the Board.
Individuals wishing to petition the Board of County Commissioners should
present such a request in writing to the County Manager a minimum of 13
days prior to the Board meeting date on which the public petition is
requested to be heard. The written request should be on the following form
and include any exhibits and/or backup material that may be pertinent to the
petition.

The reason for this request is to inform the board of county commissioner of the
danger each passengers, riding ubercabs faces each day. As some of you may
already know uber drivers are using their existing personal auto insurance policy.
meaning the passenger is not covered in the event of an accident. Because the
driver was driving for profit, drivers are not required by uber to get commercial
liability insurance. The insurance company can deny any claim leaving ap ssengers
at risk with injuries and unpaid medical bills. The driver's insurance policy will get
canceled.
Uber generally enters into the local market without seeking rip or approval from
regulators, pricing can fluctuate with supply and demand of riders according to
Section 5 E of the ordinance all motor vehicles for hire must be insured against
loss sustained by reason of death, injury to persons and damage to properly in the
following amount $125.000 for bodily injury to any one person
$300.000 for bodily injury to more than one person which are sustained in the
same accident $100.000 for rrooperty damage sustained in any one accident.
We As Taxicab Drivers must list Collier County as certificate holder, vehicle for hire
checklist, we must have a physical location here in the county no p.o.box address.
Restriction until operator's license has been issued, company registered at Sun
biz vehicle lease form, vehicle registration mask as class 9 or 36, application fees
Uber has not comply to any of the following but yet are still operating we need to
step up on the regulator charges drivers will face misdemeanor charges
