EXECUTIVE SUMMARY,
Recommendation to approve additions, a deletion, and reclassifications to the 2015 Fiscal
Year Pay and Classification Plan made from October 1,2014 through December 31, 2014.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify six reclassifications, the
deletion of one classification and the addition of two new classification specifications in the 2015
Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners
has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the 2015
Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This
occurs three times during the fiscal year—in January, in April and in July.
The modifications to the County's 2015 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan made between
October 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 (Exhibit 1) consist of six reclassifications; the
deletion of one classification which is no longer in use by the County; and the addition of two
new classification specifications primarily due to the reorganization of a business unit.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality and requires
majority vote for approval.—CMG
FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approve and ratify modifications of classification
specifications in the 2015 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
