Backup Documents 01/23/2018 Item #11EOff-site Preservation LDC Amendment
•Board Direction July 7, 2015
•Increase the monetary payment so that land management
endowments last beyond seven years; and
•Consider removing the land donation alternative.
During that time of evaluation with the advisory bodies the
East Gateway PUD amendment was going through the
amendment process (approved in December 2016).
The East Gateway PUDA requested 7.72 acre be allowed to be
taken off-site.
The CCPC did not support this deviation, with a
recommendation to the BCC to only allow 1.35 acres to be off-
site. The BCC agreed with CCPC position.
This request raised the CCPC awareness of the trend in off-site
preserve request and laid the foundation for the
recommendation to limit the off-site preserves to .5-acres,
based upon the value of green space in the Urban setting.
