EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve the FY2017/18 Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund
Trip/Equipment Amendment with the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged
(CTD).
OBJECTIVE: To revise Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund Service Rates on the FY17-18 Trip &
Equipment Grant Agreement.
CONSIDERATIONS: On June 27, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved a grant
agreement with the CTD in the amount of $684,472 to continue the Collier Area Paratransit (CAP) public
door-to-door transportation program. On October 20, 2017, staff received an amendment to the grant
agreement which revised the Transportation Disadvantaged service rates for FY17-18. The revised
services rates were approved by the Local Coordinating Board on July 12, 2017 and will take effect
December 1, 2017 pending Board approval. The amendment is attached for the Board’s consideration. A

FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact is associated with this item. Budget was appropriated to recognize
grant funding in the amount of $684,472 in TD Grant Fund 428 Project 33251 and local match was
recognized in the amount of $76,052 in TD Match Fund 429 Project 33251.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This item is consistent with Objectives 10 and 12 in the
Transportation Element of the Growth Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires a majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To approve an amendment to the FY17-18 Transportation Disadvantaged Trust
Fund Trip and Equipment Grant from the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged.
