Good morning!
I am speaking on behalf of Representative Bob Rommel, District 106, as he is in
Committee Meetings in Tallahassee.
Currently, the County is removing approximately 25,000 cubic yards of debris per
day. About 340,000 cubic yards have been picked up since September 22nd,
leaving about 3.86 Million cubic yards of debris yet to be picked up. Using that
amount as a foundation, under the current plan, we are talking about 154 days, or
31 weeks, or 7.7 months to complete the debris removal process.
The expeditious removal of the remaining debris is of paramount importance to
Naples and to Collier County. Tourism and real estate are prime sources for
Collier County's economy. Many small businesses may not survive without the
dollars that tourism and property sales bring in to the area because of the ugly
appearance and potential hazards of the remaining debris, and because access to
these businesses may be limited by the remaining debris.
rc?j
Has the County considered hiring additional company even at a higher rate to
expedite debris removal? Has the County considered spending less money in
other areas and then using those monies to expedite the debris removal process
rather than raising taxes to pay for the expeditious removal of the debris?
Has the County considered using its reserves to expedite removal?
Finally, does the County have plans to update the public on the removal process?
That is, is there a plan that will show the public - on a daily basis - the progress
that is being made on the debris removal ?

Proposed Easement Vacation
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing you on behalf of the Unity Church of Naples, located at 2000 Unity Way, Naples Florida,34112.
I serve as a representative for,and am a Member of,the Unity of Naples Board of Trustees.
At the request of our Senior Minister,Rev Diane Scribner Clevenger and our Operations Manager, Doreen
Zeneski, I am writing you concerning the proposed easement vacation notification letter we received, dated
April 20,2017.
On April 26,2017 I phoned and spoke with Brent Addison,Project Engineer with Q Grady Minor&
Associates, and then subsequently spoke with the Developer of this project to express our"objection and
concerns"to the proposed easement vacation.
The current easement provides access directly to our church property lake (Amelia Lake). We object to its
vacation because our 10acre lake parcel would then become landlocked. We are also concerned because we
want to keep our options open for any potential emergency access requirements that we will need to meet
when and if we build or expand in the future.
We are willing to consider possible optional easement scenarios from the developer.
Any final relocated easement determination, agreement or remedy will be subject to approval by the Unity
of Naples Board of Trustees.
We are, therefore, opposed to this easement being vacated as it would have a detrimental effect to our
property and its value to us and future generations.
Simerely,

Re:Vacating Application for Marquesa Isles of Naples e 144 . )1
Simerely,
