The Fire District Impact Fee Subcommittee met in the county manager's
conference room on December 6, 2005 at 9:00 am.
In attendance were subcommittee members Matt Hudson, Janet Vasey and
Larry Baytos; Impact Fee office experts Paula Fleishman and Amy
Patterson; Isles of Capri Fire Chief Rodriguez and Assistant Chief
McLaughlin, Ochopee Fire Chief Wilson and Golden Gate Fire Chief
Peterson. Jeff Page, director of EMS, arrived later.
The subcommittee discussed the Fire District Impact Fee study and, during
a conference call with Tindale-Oliver, resolved several issues.
• Ochopee fire district will recalculate their 5-year master plan
requirements. Tindale-Oliver will adjust the study to ensure that revenues
do not exceed required expenses during the 5 year period.
• Both Isles of Capri and Ochopee agreed to have impact fees based
only on vehicles and equipment, with no new fire stations.
Changes will be made to the study and the subcommittee agreed to meet
again on December 21st at 1:00 pm to consider final approval of the study.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 am.
