Productivity Committee Minutes 09/19/1995 PRODUCTIVITY COMMITTEE MEETING

September 19, 1995, 12 : 00 P.M.

New Business :
The Committee briefly discussed the pilot gainsharing proposal approved by the
BCC on 9/12/95 . No specific action was proposed.
Sub Committee Report:
The Human resources sub-committee reported that they have had a couple of
productive meetings with H.R. personnel and that they are making good progress.
Mr. Ferguson noted that the Productivity Committee is scheduled to provide an
interim report to the BCC in October. Mr. Tatak suggested that the H.R. report
would likely be done in time for the interim report .
Jack McKenna reported that he attended a meeting conducted by Bill Hargett on
potential revisions to the County' s leave policy.
Edward Finn will write a follow up memo to Jennifer Edwards and Leo Ochs as to
the availability of the fringe and leave policy comparison and the employment
data being assembled for the GNCA.
Vacancies:
Charles Dauray made a motion to recommend the appointment of Mr. John Hickey and
Mr. James Cavanagh to two of the vacant seats on the Productivity Committee.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Ferguson and approved unanimously.
The next step in the process is to forward the committee' s recommendation to the
BCC and have the BCC appoint the candidates . This is likely to occur the first
Tuesday in October. The candidates are being sent a copy of these minutes to
make them aware of their status .
Additional candidates for the remaining vacancies will be forwarded to the
Committee upon being released by the BCC office after 9/29/95 .
Next Meeting:
The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for the third Tuesday in October
10/17/95 . The date may need to be changed to accommodate the report to the BCC
scheduled for October. The details of the meeting time and place will be mailed
out when finalized.
