Junior Deputies' 33 acre Camp Discovery is used to support our mission

County Sheriffs Office, to become responsible, law abiding citizens." We
have done so over the last five decades, in partnership with-the Sheriffs
Office, reaching mor€ than I 00,000 4th and 5rh grade itudens.
Now we are planning to expand what we can offer to the children of
Collier County with a building program ar Camp Discovery that will
include camp sites, bath houses, a fishing pier and gazebo and the
centerpiece - a 10p00 square foot open air pavilio;.
The first step is to secure the Camp with a berm, Iandscaping and a
perimeter fence. We will be using the design principles of ,.-rime
Prc-vention Through Environrnenral Design" (CpTED1. Securing the camp
will deter vandalism and create a safe environmcnt for our children.
Thank you for considering our request for $1e000 for this first phase of
our. camp.security. Our budget for this phase totals over $900,000. lte6
