EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Lisa Taylor, Senior Management & Budget Analyst, Growth
Management Department, as the April 2017 Employee of the Month.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize the efforts and accomplishments of an employee who has made significant
contributions to the organization or to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Lisa Taylor, Senior Management & Budget Analyst, Operations Support has
been with the County since 1990 and works for the Growth Management Department.
Recently, Lisa stepped in when her supervisor was asked to be the interim Director for Procurement
Services. During this time, Lisa was able to keep the day-to-day operations of her area moving without
any issues or disruption of service. She showed initiative, management skills, responsibility and ability to
lead their team. She was able to fill a gap of leadership needed to support department operations.
Lisa's greatest asset is that she is always willing to share her expertise with her co-workers. She is not
only a great resource and fountain of information, but she is a mentor to those around her. Lisa wants
everyone to succeed and always expects the highest standards of accounting to be met. With her 27 years
of knowledge and expertise in the field, she is often called upon to participate in cross-departmental
efforts with the Clerk’s office, Purchasing, Utilities, and the Budget Office. She always provides sound
financial and procedural guidance in the processing of her work and in that of her team. Lisa is well
known, well liked and highly respected by her peers and management team, and is very deserving of the
Employee of the Month award.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected “Employee of the Month” receives a $150.00 cash award. Funds for
this are available in the employee’s budget cost center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There are no Growth Management Impacts associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: To approve the recognition of Lisa Taylor as the April 2017 Employee of the
Month.
