Some documents are time sensitive and require forwarding to Tallahassee within a certain
time frame or the BCC's actions are nullified. Be aware of your deadlines!
8. The document was approved by the BCC on la-1.3-1 and all changes made during the

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
THE COLLIER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AND
THE EARLY LEARNING COALITION OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA,INC.
This Fifth Extension of Memorandum of Understanding (also referred to as the "Extension") is
entered into this IW day of December, 2016, between the Collier County Board of County
Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as " COUNTY" and the Early Learning Coalition of
Southwest Florida, a Nonprofit Corporation registered under the laws of Florida Chapter 617,
operating under the laws of the State of Florida and, hereinafter referred to as the
`COALITION."
This Fifth Extension shall begin October 1, 2016, and end September 30, 2017, unless terminated
by either party as provided for herein.
1. The Memorandum of Understanding, as previously extended, a copy of which is attached
hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby extended to September 30, 2017.
2. The COALITION will invoice the COUNTY for monthly expenditures incurred beginning
October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017, for the preceding month' s expenditures in a
form acceptable to the County.
3. Subparagraph d. is added to Paragraph I of the Memorandum of Understanding as follows:
I. The responsibilities assigned to the COUNTY under this Agreement are as follows:
d. The COUNTY asserts any funds and contributions provided to the COALITION
will comply with the criteria in 2 CFR Part 200.306(b) / 45 CFR Part 75.306(b)
requirements—Match income documentation. The annual funding source(s) of
COUNTY contributions from this agreement will be provided to COALITION
staff upon request. COUNTY staff may also be contacted annually to verify
compliance with the cited federal grant program requirements, specifically:
i. COUNTY funds/contributions received by the COALITION are not included as
contributions/match for any other federal award, and
ii. COUNTY funds/contributions are not funded by federal grant program monies
unless expressly authorized by Federal statute to be used for cost sharing or
matching.
4. All terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding, as previously extended,
shall continue to be in full force and effect.
