district may be rebuilt after destruction

WebXtender Document Query Tips
Step 1.
Log into WebXtender using
the user name and
password that your
administrator assigned to
you.
Step 2.
Choose the application you
wish to query for
documents, by Double
Clicking on the appropriate
line item on the WX
application screen.

Step 3.
From the search screen,
enter the index values you
wish to search by. Once
you have entered
information in the index
value fields of the new
query dialog screen, click
search to display the
results set of your search.
Note: You can use a
variety of advanced searches to narrow the results of your search.
(See advanced queries at the end of this document)
Step 4.
Once the result set screen
is displayed choose the
appropriate line item
(document) you wish to
display. Click the line item
to display the document of
choice.

Once the document is
displayed you have the
option to rotate, zoom, fit
window, or use the
magnify glass feature.

Wild Card
The asterisk (*)is a
wildcard that matches
any character or number
of characters. A wildcard
performs beginning with,
ending with, and pattern
searches. For example,
123' finds all the text
strings beginning with the
numbers 123. The ,
wildcard character can be ::~"~'
used to narrow a search, controlling the number of documents
returned in the Result Set_P_99_e.

Returns all documents with a Number of "123",

Returns all documents with a Number that begins with the characters "12".

Returns all documents with a Number that ends with the characters "23".

Returns all documents with a Number that begins with the character "1" and
ends with the character "3".

documents by entering
one or more index fields
using the List of Values
dialog box. This option
gives you more choices
for narrowing down your
search within the Index

To create a List of Values
Search, click the L button
to the right of the index field you want to query on and the
Search List dialog box will display.
