Agenda 09/13/2016 R Item #16G 2 16.G.2 09/13/2016 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve a Resolution authorizing execution of Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) Number One to Contract No. G0594 with the Florida Department of Transportation to provide additional funds in the amount of $56,121 for enhancements to the AvGas Fuel Facility at the Marco Island Executive Airport, Project#33450. (Fiscal Impact $44,897 FDOT and $11,224 Local Match). OBJECTIVE: To accept additional funds from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in the amount of $44,897 for AvGas fuel facility enhancements that will enable self-fueling capability at the Marco Island Executive Airport(MKY). CONSIDERATIONS: The Collier County Board of County Commissioners (Board), acting as the Collier County Airport Authority, accepted a grant offer from FDOT in the amount of$288,000 to fund eighty percent (80%) of AvGas fuel facility enhancements and two (2) new mobile refueling trucks at MKY at a total estimated cost of$360,000 on November 10,2015, agenda item 16G3. The cost of the two new refueling trucks is $309,000, leaving a balance of$51,800 available for fuel farm enhancements. The cost for the fuel farm enhancements is $107,078.87, which is $55,278.87 more than the remaining unencumbered funds in the project. Supplementary FDOT funding in the amount of$44,897 is available to fund eighty percent (80%) of the additional cost and requires a twenty percent(20%) local match of$11,224. There is a 20% local match in the amount of $11,224 required with this agreement. Budget amendments are necessary to appropriate the local match within Airport Match Fund (499), Project 33450 of $11,224 via a transfer of funds from Airport Capital Fund(496)Reserves. Source of local funds are General Fund(001). GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this Executive Summary.
