16.A.19 09/27/2016 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to adopt a Resolution to hold a public hearing to consider vacating a portion of Tract "R", Creekside Boulevard right-of-way, being a part of Creekside Commerce Park West- Unit Two, Plat Book 35, Page 43 of the Public Records of Collier County, Florida, located in Section 27,Township 48 South,Range 25 East, Collier County, Florida. (VAC-PL20160002294) OBJECTIVE: Pursuant to Sections 336.09 and 336.10, Florida Statutes, and Resolution No. 2013-166, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) must authorize a public hearing to consider the vacation of the County and public interest in any public road right-of-way. CONSIDERATIONS: The Development Review Division has received a request from D. Wayne Arnold, A1CP, of Q. Grady Minor and Associates, P.A., as agent for the applicant. This request is to vacate a portion of Tract "R", Creekside Boulevard right-of-way, being a part of Creekside Commerce Park West-Unit Two, Plat Book 35, Page 43 of the Public Records of Collier County, Florida, located in Section 27, Township 48 South, Range 25 East, Collier County,Florida. The applicant is proposing to vacate a segment of Creekside Boulevard between Arthrex Boulevard and Creekside Street, approximately 1/4-mile in length. The right-of-way (Tract R) was dedicated on the plat to Collier County, "to be used a public right-of-way." Once this portion of the roadway is vacated, Arthrex, Inc., intends to expand their corporate research and development operations by creating a medical research campus. The hearing will be advertised in a local paper of general circulation pursuant to Section 336.10, Florida Statutes and Resolution No. 2013-166, and the adjoining property owners will be given notice as well. Staff has reviewed this petition and found no reason for objection. FISCAL IMPACT: The application fee of$2,000 covers staff review and processing. The applicant is also responsible for advertising fees. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management plan impact associated with this Executive Summary.
