As the first independent, special taxing district dedicated solely to children's services, the Juvenile Welfare Board of
Pinellas County (JWB) has led the way in meeting the needs of families for over 40 years. Planning, coordinating
and contracting for essential services are major responsibilities of the agency.Additionally, training and technical
assistance are offered to agencies and personnel who provide direct services. In order to strengthen families and
protect children,JWB also advocates for effective public policy for families and children.Through active participa-
tion of citizens, clients and service providers, the Juvenile Welfare Board strives to build a sense of community and
extend support to children and their families.
