EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve the addition of four classifications, removal of four classifications and
the reclassification of two positions in the 2016 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan made from
April 1,2016 through June 30,2016.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify the addition of four new
classifications, removal of four classifications and the reclassification of two positions within the
2016 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners
has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual
Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This
occurs three times during the fiscal year—in January, in April and in July.
The modifications to the County's 2016 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan (Exhibit 1)
consists of four new classifications, removal of four classifications and two reclassifications.
FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approves the addition of four classifications, removal of
four classifications and two reclassifications.
