EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve the Corporate Partnership Agreement between Hodges University
and Collier County providing for discounted tuition rates to employees and authorize the County
Manager or designee to execute the agreement.
OBJECTIVE: To provide opportunities for qualified employees of Collier County to matriculate into
degree and certificate programs with Hodges University at a discounted tuition rate.
CONSIDERATIONS: Collier County desires to attract and retain a knowledgeable, professional
workforce. To assist in meeting that goal, Hodges University is offering to provide educational and
partnership benefits to Collier County employees, allowing for a discounted tuition rate for individuals
accepted into undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Acceptance of the discounted rate allows for
another educational option, commensurate to tuition costs of other public institutions in the state of
Florida,to individuals who wish to further their education.
FISCAL IMPACT: This agreement will lower the out of pocket expenses for Collier County employees
wishing to attend Hodges University.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There are no Growth Management Impacts associated with
this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item was reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATIONS: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the Corporate Partnership
Agreement between Hodges University and Collier County and authorizes the County Manager or
designee to execute the agreement.

Corporate Partnership Agreement
Hodges University and Collier County Employees
WHEREAS, Collier County Employees and Hodges University (HU) desire to work together to
provide for the matriculation of qualified Collier County Employees into HU's degree and certificate
programs;
The parties agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement and also to work in good faith with
each other as to any particular situation or situations that may benefit qualified Collier County
Employees;
Therefore, in consideration of the mutual promises, covenants and conditions contained herein,
Collier County Employees and HU agree as follows:
Article 1-Educational&Partnership Benefits
1.1 Upon matriculation into an program,HU will provide qualified Collier County Employees a
tuition discount of:
1.1.1 $215 per credit hour for 15 week and 7.5 week undergraduate degree programs.
1.1.2 $375 per credit hour for 15 week and 7.5 week graduate degree programs.
1.2 For those Collier County Employees HU agrees to admit candidates once they have
demonstrated that they meet the standards of admission for their selected program.
Standards of general admission are outlined in the HU undergraduate and graduate
catalogs.
1.3 HU agrees,when applicable to a Collier County Employees employee's application for
admissions:
1.3.1 To review and award credit transfer according to HU's credit transfer policy.
1.3.2 To assist candidates who elect to use federal or state financial aid program,in the
process of applying for aid.
Article 2 -Advertising,Promotion,Admission and Recruitment
2.1 HU and Collier County Employees will cooperate in communicating and publicizing HU
educational opportunities to Collier County Employees.This may include:
2.1.1 Distribution of emails,newsletters,flyers,or other promotional materials.
2.1.2 Non-exclusive access to Collier County Employees facilities(3)times per calendar
year to provide educational information sessions to Collier County Employees.
2.1.3 Use of Collier County Employees name and logo in HU's promotional materials and
website.

Article 3 -Termination of Agreement
3.1 HU and Collier County Employees are committed to the concept of a long-standing cooperative
relationship. This Agreement may be modified, but only in writing, as the parties deem fit over
the course of time in order to deal with new and changing situations, different course offerings,
etc. Amendments may be formal written modifications or may be in the form of letters signed by
duly authorized representatives of HU and Collier County Employees.
3.2 The foregoing notwithstanding, either HU or Collier County Employees may terminate all of the
portions of this Agreement by providing no less than six months' advance written notice to do so,
unless the parties agree otherwise. Teach out provisions for students enrolled under this
Agreement must be included in the written notice.
