MONTHLY REPORT PROPOSAL The following proposal is being submitted to streamline monthly reporting utilized within the Parks and Recreation Department. A survey of users of our monthly report disclosed that a number of areas being reported on are of little value to our end user customers. Present procedure has the Admin Office preparing five separate documents that are distributed to end users. The loss of the Marco Island Racquet Center reduces this reporting to four; Beach and Water Monthly Report,Golden Gate Aquatic&Fitness Center Revenue Report and a two page Recreation Section Monthly Report. (sample reports attached). The proposal is to cut these reports to just three by deleting one page of the Recreation Section report. Second page of the report would be used reporting on the following: Number of programs run Number of Park/Facility users Revenue The report would continue to compare monthly and year to date statistics to prior year numbers for both facility users and revenue. Proposal would eliminate statistical reporting of: Registered class participants Program participant hours Program hours Special events These statistics would still be maintained by individual parks and facilities and would be available to our end user customers should these statistics be needed for projects or planning purposes. Elimination of this reporting would save an estimated 16 staff hours per month. The staff hours estimate is based on an average of 2 hours per facility in compiling and reporting these statistics. Additional staff hours are needed at the Admin office putting the five page report together. r. pi&f, To ,61 RECREATION SECTION MONTHLY REPORT SEPTEMBER 1998 GOLDEN GATE AQUATIC FACILITY GOLDEN GATE
