This was reported last month and they are still defoliated. Continue to monitor for foliar flush. • Median 6 — Remove Lantana and replace with Duranta (south tip, Radio Rd) • EAST ROW—There is a 40 ft bare patch of Asian Jasmine just west of the shopping center entry drive that needs to be replaced. Additionally, fill in the few bare patches with new Asian Jasmine as needed. Some minor areas of nut sedge need to be treated/weeded. • West ROW—The new St. Augustine sod has a few dry spots towards the east end. Confirm irrigation coverage. • GENERAL —The medians need to be mulched. • GENERAL —Trim Montgomery seed pods. RADIO ROAD: IN GENERAL, THE MEDIANS LOOK EXTREMELY DRY, STRESSED AND IN DECLINE. APPARENTLY THE IRRIGATION IS HAS NOT FUNCTIONED AND NOT BEEN PROPERLY MONITORED FOR SOME TIME NOW AND IS IN JEOPARDY OF SEVERLY IMPACTNG THE INVESTMENT OF THIS LANDSCAPED ROADWAY. THIS IS AN URGENT SITUATION AND NEEDS AN IMMEDIATE SOLUTION. In general the medians look extremely dry, stressed and in decline as follows: • GENERAL: Remove Montgomery and Foxtail Palm seed pods. • GENERAL: Sabal Palms are ready to be trimmed. • GENERAL: Trim Muhly Grass. • GENERAL: The Jatrophas are still largely defoliated due to lack of water. • GENERAL: The Silhouettes and Ms. Alice Bougs are woody, chlorotic and largely defoliated from lack of water. Monitor closely for foliar flush. They have looked bad for several months. Particularly horrible in median 11 east and west ends and Medians 28 and 29. • Median 1: Remove one random Silhouette and replace with one Ms. Alice to match bed. Remove and replace 16-20 Little Red Euphorbias. • Median 5, 6, 18, 19, 21, 29: Dianella are weak and missing several. (Fill in with 3 gallon plants). • Median 10 —5 Big Rose are crushed and need to be removed / replaced (north side). • Medians 13 and 14 — Replace four (4) Foxtails which have been yellow and struggling with stunted buds. (2 in median 14 and 2 in median 13) Continue to treat with sulfur to improve PH to allow to take up nutrients. What counter measures have been completed and do they recommend to save the palms? This must be pursued aggressively. • Median 14: Silhouettes are chlorotic and woody/ defoliated. • Median 13 — 5-6 Big Rose are crushed and need to be removed / replaced (south side). • Median 16, 17, 27, 28, 29: Sod has significant brown patches and/or is largely dead due to lack of water. Remove Montgomery Palm seed pods. • Median 19: Foxtails chlorotic. • Median 27: A few of the Royals have significant unsightly sooty mold on the trunks and need to be treated and cleaned. • Medians 28, 29 at Devonshire: Dianella plant groupings are very weak and need to be cleaned up and filled in with new plants. • Median 30 —The Montgomery Palms are still Chlorotic and yellowing. Trim seed pods and remove dead fronds. The following replacements were noted and should be put in the rotation if and when directed and authorized by Pam Lulich: • In general, keep working towards replacement of all Dinnis with Dianella moving forward as they decline.
