TIGER TAIL BEACH - Wafaa ASSAAD Mr. Assaad of the Planning Department was present to exhibit the redesigned Tiger Tail Beach Park plan. When Tiger Tail was originally designed approximately 3 years ago , there were no coastal setback lines nor was the County as environmentally involved or concerned. On the original design the park was basically an extension of Hernando Dr. with a divided entrance and parking on both sides . With this design they would go beyond the coastal setback line and would disturb the mangroves . Being a County agent , they did not feel they should go to the state and asx for a variance to go beyond the coastal setback line . The Planning Department then redesigned the plan , widening the park and shortening the length of the parking area, but still having the same amount of parking spaces . Mr . Assaad is asking for the approval of the PARAB before moving ahead with the plan and any grants . Dudley Goodlette made the motion to approve the Tiger Tail plan as presented.
