ownership of the Park. No development or improvements can be
made until the ownership is decided upon. Mr. Reardon stated
the City Parks Board has their monthly meeting March 23rd at
which time they will have the answers to the following questions :
1) Is the City willing to deed the property over to the county,or
2) Is the City willing to go ahead and cooperate with the County
in maintaining the Park and development .
Mr. Johnson stated that the County has shown their
good faith in the last few years in maintaining the Park. It
was also stated that even though the Park is in the City, that
it would not be practical to send a City crew so far out from
all the other parks the City owns and that it would be much
more practical to have the control of the park under the County.
Mr. Reardon suggested that no decisions be made at
this time , but wait until after the City Parks Board has their
meeting on March 23rd. The City Parks Board at that time will
make their recommendation to the City Council . The County Parks
Board will receive a copy of the recommendation.
Steve Smith thanked the City Parks Board for coming to
the meeting and expressed his hope that we could continue to
work and cooperate together.
There being no further business , the meeting adjourned
at 10 : 30 A.M.
Respectfully submitted,
