AUDIENCE COMMENTS Dr. Trecker commented on nitrogen and phosphorus readings. UPDATE ON PUBLIC COMMENTS ON USACE PERMIT APPLICATION Ms. Poulos reported that public comments on the Pelican Bay USACE permit application have been requested. UPDATE ON NATIONAL FISHERIES REVIEW Mr. Dorrill reported that he has scheduled a conference call with Collier County's federal lobbyist, Amanda Wood,to try to facilitate the National Marine Fisheries' review. UPDATE ON TIDAL GAUGES AND DATA Mr. Dorrill reported that tidal gauges are installed and collecting data. Staff will look into how a real time data website can be set up. UPDATE ON STORET DATA Ms. Poulos reported that access to the STORET database has been restored. UPDATE ON INFRARED AERIAL PHOTO OF CLAM BAY Mr. Dorrill reported that three vendors were solicited for quotes for an infrared aerial photo of Clam Bay. Aerial Cartographics was the only vendor to provide a responsive bid. UPDATE ON TDC FUNDING FOR BATHYMETRIC SURVEYS Mr. Dorrill reported that PBSD has sufficient unspent TDC funds from last year to fully fund this year's bathymetric survey. UPDATE ON FDEP PERMIT AND CLAM BAY NRPA MANAGEMENT PLAN ON PBSD WEBSITE Ms. Jacob reported that the Clam Bay NRPA Management Plan has been posted to the PBSD website. She will add a link to include the FDEP permit. UPDATE ON ANNUAL CLAM BAY REPORT, INCLUDING BATHYMETRIC AND TIDAL ANALYSIS REPORTS Ms. Poulos confirmed that the Annual Clam Bay Report will be completed by December and she will confirm the timeframe of the bathymetric and tidal analysis reports with Mr. Hall. SIGNAGE FOR SHOREBIRDS 2 Pelican Bay Services Division Clam Bay Committee Meeting November 23,2015 The committee discussed shorebird protection signage. Mr. Dorrill will discuss this issue further with Dave Cook. REQUEST FOR OSPREY PLATFORM The committee reviewed a request from a resident asking for the PBSD to erect an osprey nesting platform just north of the Marker 36 Restaurant. Mr. Dorrill will provide cost information from the last platform erected a few years ago. MONTHLY REPORT ON COPPER AND TIDAL RATIOS The committee reviewed the monthly report on copper readings and tidal ratios. DRAFT DOCUMENT TO SOLICIT COSTS FOR CLAM BAY MONITORING FROM ELIGIBLE VENDORS Staff sent out requests for quotes for Clam Bay management plan activities to the five eligible vendors contracted for environmental and biological services by Collier County. If you need the hourly breakdown let me know. I reanalyzed our past budgets and some were more than what was needed and some were less, so they were all adjusted accordingly and with the new rate sheets approved. There were a few things that are over and above, but won't be needed regularly that you will see noted. Also, what happens with STORET remains to be seen in terms of what that might cost. I talked with them today and they think it might not be a big deal to do a new program for the 9 new stations to enter the 2015 data. My experience with them over the past year is that the system is so antiquated that everything is more complicated than it should b though, so I would rather not guess just yet.
