LET IT BE REMEMBERED, the Public Transit Ad Hoc Advisory Committee in and for
the County of Collier, having conducted business herein, met on this date at 3:00 P.M. in
REGULAR SESSION at Government Center Transit Station, Collier County Government
Complex, Naples, Florida with the following members present:

1. Call to Order
Co Chairman Dobberstein called the meeting to order at 3:10PM.
The meeting was held as a"mobile meeting"on a CAT bus which traveled from the Government
Center Transfer Station to the Radio Road Transfer Station and returned to Government Center.

Roll call was taken and a quorum could not be established.

6. Reports and Presentations
a. Transit Operations
Ms. Arnold presented the Executive Summary "Transit Operations"for information purposes
and Staff made the following presentations:
Government Transfer Station
Ms. Arnold provided an overview of the services available at the Station which include monitors
on walls providing bus schedule updates, delays in service, general information, etc. The facility
is designed to accommodate Braille users and has vending services. The buses have been upgraded
to new electronic fare boxes.
New Route and Service Update
Ms. Cardeso provided an update on new Route 27 which initiated service on January 1, 2015.
The route is from the Golden Gate Community Center to Creekside via Collier Blvd. and
Immokalee Road. The area of service includes schools, commercial and residential developments,
the Social Security Office, Hodges University and provides for connection to the Lee County Bus
system at Creekside. It serves approximately 500 riders a week at this point in time.
Seasonal Schedule
Ms. Cardeso reported the new seasonal schedule for bus service will commence on November 1,
2015 and is designed to accommodate the influx of seasonal residents and visitors. The Program's
brochure has been updated to include the revised schedules and includes use of"Google Maps"
and other user friendly features.
Bus Stop/Shelter Logo Redesign
Staff reported a new logo is being developed for the shelters and bus stop signs. Any Member
with input on a proposed design should contact Staff The item will be placed on the Agenda for
the next meeting.

New Technology
Mr. Deleon provided an update on the measures the Program undertakes to enhance the use of
technology. The updates include mobile pay apps, trip planning apps, electronic notifications of
vital information such as route delay alerts, etc. A person interested must sign up for the apps.
Other features include updates to the web site and mobile data terminals for the bus driver. Future
considerations include voice over text applications, integrating the Program into social media,
provision of WIFI on buses (especially for longer routes).
Bus Advertisement
Ms. Williams reported advertising for placards to be placed internally on the buses has been
approved and a contract is in process with Telemundo.
Driver Training
Mr. McKinney disseminated a copy of the "Keolis Transit America Operator Education
Program"for information purposes and provided an overview of the driver training program. All
applicants must have their Commercial Driver License as an application pre-requisite. The
training program is 5 days long and includes fixed and para-transit routes. The items covered
include orientation, drug and alcohol screening, video training, requirements for pre bus trip
inspections, safety training, road training with another qualified driver, etc.
Radio Road Transfer Station
The Committee toured the station which is currently under renovation to provide a more user
friendly environment for passengers and the employees who serve the facility and Program. The
offices for Keolis administration are located in the building, and sound proofing was necessary.
Staff provided the"CAT/FDOT Preventative Maintenance Standards (PM)" for information
purposes. The tour of the site also included presentations by Staff on the daily service functions
required to maintain the fleet including washing and refueling, the mechanical maintenance
schedule, emergency repairs, etc.
b. Christmas Holiday Parade
Staff presented the Executive Summary"Christmas Holiday Parade" for information purposes.
The parade will be held December 12, 2015 in Immokalee and the CAT will be participating in an
effort to boost public outreach for the Program.
