V. LANDSCAPE REPORT
Gary Gorden reported crews have been trimming. Plant materials have Torpedo grass growing in
thought it. It has been treated with herbicides.
Mr. Weber noticed all the hedges were not down to 5'yet.
Harry Sells reported the County has not been pushed for the 5' hedge. Letters on General
Maintenance Rules have not gone out yet. A large amount of landscaping will be removed during
construction and it was felt that after construction was complete would be a better time to change the
rules and inform everyone.
VI. CONSTRUCTION REPORT
Ray Benza gave a brief update on the project. 6" conduit has been installed from 400' south
of Vanderbilt Beach Drive down to the corner of Gulf Shore Drive.
They plan to bore on South Bay Drive.
July 4th the County will need Conner Park parking lot cleared for the use by the public during the
holiday weekend.
The County modified the sub aqueous crossing permit and it has been approved by DEP, waiting for
Army Corps of Engineers to give final approval for the permit.
VII, PROJECT MANAGER'S REPORT
A. BUDGET REPORT FOR 6/4/15
Staff distributed and reviewed the Vanderbilt MSTU budget report on Fund 143. (See

B. GENERAL STATUS OF BURIAL PROJECT
Harry Sells and Ray Benza met with Purchasing Department and MasTec concerning the quality
of work on Phase I and not wanting to destroy land. He stated there is a big difference in quality
between Danella and Mastec.
The network companies went out to bid; Comcast, Century Link and Summit. Phase IV will
begin one year and will go all the way to Wiggins Pass. Wiggins Pass will be closed to construct
bridge in early 2016. FPL has not designed Phase IV yet.
C. NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR EASEMENTS
Harry Sells reported FPL does not have easements at six locations. Tariff states FPL will
identify all required easements for this project before the underground service agreement is

VIII. OLD BUSINESS
A. GENERAL RULES FOR MAINTAINING LANDSCAPE ON VANDERBILT DRIVE
Harry Sells suggested this item be tabled.

on the Committee, it would be hard to establish a quorum. Mr. Weber received names of
possible candidates.
