Growth Management Department
Transportation Engineering Division
Notice
Golden Gate City Sidewalks Project
Please be advised that the Growth Management Department's Transportation
Engineering Division will soon begin construction of sidewalks and drainage
improvements in your neighborhood. This work will be located within the existing
Collier County right -of -way as part of a Florida Department of Transportation funded
Golden Gate City Various Sidewalks Local Agency Program (LAP) project. The
sidewalk and drainage improvements are to be constructed on both sides of the roadway
on 201h Court S.W. (from Sunshine Blvd.. to 46th Terrace S.W), on the west side of the
roadway on 46th Terrace S.W. (from 23rd Avenue S. W. to Sunset Road) and on the west
side of the roadway on 48th Street S.W. (from 23rd Avenue S.W. to 17th Avenue S.W.).
Residents and property owners are advised that the project work will begin in the next
few weeks. The county's contractor will be working on this project and any private
improvements that are located in the county's existing right -of -way, such as irrigation
lines and landscape, will be cleared from the right -of -way as part of the construction
project. If you have any irrigation within the roadway easements and/or rights -of -way,
now is the time for you to relocate it. Otherwise the contractor will cut and cap the
irrigation lines at the property line. Mail service will continue normally. Mailboxes
may be temporarily relocated as part of the project but will be restored to close to their
original location before the project is completed. The contractor's crews plan to work
7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. The
improvement project is expected to be completed around the beginning of February
2016, weather permitting.
If you have any questions, please contact Greg Trokey at Johnson Engineering at 246-
1609, or James Vee Lofton at Johnson Engineering at 633 -0419.
