The Park and Rec. Advisory Board has spend many houlis deliberating
on beach park rates parking and other also&iated conditions. The
PARAB and Productivity Committee group also advised the board
to raise the rate to 12.00 per car, and on June 30, the B. C. C.
. agreed to accept our recommendations, thus generating around
$700,000. Prom the 4 parks for future maintenance and improvements
In addition to relieving this particular tax burden.
However, on September 29th as a result of pressure from a small
group of "Beach Parking ShOULD BE FREE" activists, the commissioners
eliminated ALL FEES AND GUARDS. . . .
I It was an astounding decision, contraaz Y to the advise of the
PAIW
Productivity Committee , PARAB, anc' Staff.

Ironically half of then people are from Lee County, who frequently
find their own Bonita Beach overcrowded and come to the Collier
County Lely Beach.
