A quorum was established; four voting members were present. II. Attendance Members: Dale Lewis, Chairman Helen Carella, Fred Rogers, John Weber Mariaoenfelder County: Harry Sells—MSTU Project Manager Michelle Arnold—PTNE Director Others: Scott Windham - Windham Studios, Inc. Thomas Gonzalez and Mike Barrow—Affordable Landscaping Service&Design Robert Kindelan—CLM Sue Flynn—JuriSolutions III. Welcome of New Member—Maria C. Schoenfelder Maria Schoenfelder was welcome to the Radio Road Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee. IV. Approval of Agenda Chairman Lewis moved to approve the Agenda as presented. Second by Helen Carella. Carried; 4-0. Maria Schoenfelder arrived after the Approval of Agenda. V. Irrigation Control Presentations A. Julie Zigler—Rain Bird Corporation—Addressed after VI. B. B. Ed Hodnett—Hydropoint Ed Hodnett gave a powerpoint presentation on the Weather Trak the smart irrigation management system. They addressed all questions posed. A Julie Zigler—Rain Bird Corporation Julie Zigler gave a powerpoint presentation on the Rain Bird IQ v2.0 Central Control irrigation system. They addressed all questions posed. VI. Approval of Mnutes—April 13,2015 Change: XI. C. 1st sentence should read Chairman excused Landscape and Landscape Architect people. Fred Rogers moved to approve April 13, 2015 minutes as amended. Second by John Weber. Carried; 5-0. VII. Project Manager Report May 11, 2015 A. Budget Report—Pump Replacement Harry Sells distributed and reviewed the Radio Road MSTU Budget Report Fund 158. (See attached) He reported replacing the pump at the mixing station through Naples Electric Motor Works. There will be an additional charge from CLM for the installation of the replacement pump. He addressed all questions posed. B. Status of Irrigation System There is a main controller valve is under control of Roger Dick has not been working for the last couple of weeks. The work will be done at the end of May. C. Status of Asian Jasmine and Lantana Replacement CLM and Affordable finished planting. Scott Windham reported his original estimate was 4000 plants and it changed to 2000 in an effort to not to do every gap. This was to be a first effort and the remaining areas would be filled in. He suggested another 1000 plants. He would walk the area and do an actual count. Chairman Lewis noted a motion was passed not to spend any more money into this effort. Robert Kindelan suggested the MSTU waits during summer months for plants to grow. John Weber moved to spend another$5,000 for additional plants. Second by Fred Rogers. Motion failed; 3-2. Dale Lewis, Helen Carella and Maria Schoenfelder opposed. VIII. Commercial Hedge Code Enforcement Update Michelle Arnold did not have anything new to report. IX. Landscape Architect Report Scott Windham distributed and reviewed the Radio Road and Devonshire Monthly Maintenance Report. (See attached) He reported action items on Devonshire and on Radio Road medians. X. Landscape Maintenance Report—Robert Kindelan, Commercial Land Maintenance He gave an update on maintenance items; continued weeding, doing vita mulch in the Jasmine and regular mulch in the medians. He reported a leak in the water main and shutting off at the pump station. He had borrowed a valve solenoid from another landscape maintenance company. Chairman Lewis moved to direct Staff to look into pricing out gate-values in main line, so the MSTU can isolate any section they want to, at any given time and request Staff come back with a price for us. Second by Fred Rogers. Carried; 5-0. Fred Rogers moved to keep the hedge in the MSTU a uniform height to 10 foot. Second by Chairman Lewis. Carried; 5-0. Robert Kindelan stated he did not have access to pickup debri in homeowners back yards at this time. Michelle Arnold suggested Staff talk with the homeowners to allow access to pick up debri from hedge trimming. XI. Landscape Maintenance Report—Al Bennaroch, Affordable Landscape Mike Barrow gave a brief update report on maintenance preformed by Affordable Landscape. XII. Old Business-None 2 May 11, 2015 XIII.
