The Landscape & Water Management Committee of the Pelican Bay Services Division ff—M
Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Community Center at Pelican Bay located at
8960 Hammock Oak Drive, Naples, Florida, 34108. The following members attended:

Four Committee members were present (Trecker, Chicurel, Cravens Streckenbein); two
were absent (Dickson, Domenie).
REVIEW OF DRAFT CLAM BAY FIELD GUIDE
The Committee reviewed the draft Clam Bay Field Guide and suggested changing some
of the existing photographs.
UPDATE OF LAKES PILOT TRIALS
Mr. Lukasz reported that the August data showed a decrease in the levels of nitrogen,
phosphorus, and copper in Basin III.
The Committee discussed water quality data, copper levels in sediment, landscaping best
management practices (BMP), and increasing community awareness.
MICHAEL BAUER, CITY OF NAPLES NATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
Dr. Michael Bauer, City of Naples Natural Resources Department, gave a presentation
about landscaping BMP and rain gardens.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS
Ms. Marcia Cravens commented on The Commons proposal and possible role of PBSD.
ADJOURN
Mr. Cravens motioned, Dr. Chicurel seconded to adjourn. The Committee voted
unanimously in favor, the motion passed, and meetinz adjourned at 2:40 p.m.
